Standards Support
The National Biometric Security Project mission includes an objective to support and publicize the development of new standards for improving the application, performance, and interoperability of biometric technology. In accordance with this mission, NBSP has contributed financial and personnel support to the biometric standardization outlining major areas of activity and identifying gaps in the standards along with a semi-annual spreadsheet that summarizes both published and emerging U.S. and international biometric standards.
