Director of Technical Operations
The Director of Technical Operations oversees and is responsible for the activities of Biometric Services International, LLC (BSI) laboratory and revenue center. BSI is a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Biometric Security Project (NBSP). Candidate will establish operational policy, execute scheduling, and provide direction and guidance to the program managers and directors reporting to him/her while reporting to and implementing operational instructions given by the CEO, BSI.
The candidate should have at least 10-15 years of experience as a manager, administrator, or engineer with recent involvement in biometric products and systems, testing, and training services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the CEO, BSI in integrating support from BSI for the NBSP.
- Implements operating policy and assigns responsibility for execution of same.
- Provides leadership in the area of technical sales to support business development and marketing functions for BSI.
- Implements strategic planning and assignments for mission performance.
- Provides guidance, support and mentoring to assigned staff members.
- Assists the CEO, BSI in the development of the annual business plans for BSI.
- Represents BSI to outside organizations and the media.
Skills:
- Ability to lead and manage effectively.
- Ability to develop, conduct, and execute near and long-term plans.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Candidate must have fundamental working knowledge of biometric technology including: its functions, applications, integration requirements, and the perspectives of all stakeholders in the biometric community.
- Must be comfortable representing BSI at all levels of government and the private sector.
Candidate must have an advanced academic degree with a minimum of 10-15 years experience. US Citizen required. Secret clearance or higher required.
Technical Sales Representative
Reporting to the CEO of Biometric Services International (BSI), LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Biometric Security Project (NBSP), the Technical Sales Representative is responsible for identifying new clients whose business operations can be improved with biometric services available from BSI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify new clients for BSI services, with particular emphasis on Federal opportunities and those (public and private) with significant presence in WV.
- Follow up with existing clients to assure their satisfaction with BSI services and with a goal of expanding their use of same.
- By listening to, and drawing out relevant information, correctly interpret client/prospect requirements to evaluate how these requirements can be met by BSI services.
- Act as sales lead to the proposal development team as opportunities warrant.
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and education to prospective client.
- With guidelines established by BSI CEO, negotiate contract terms with client that satisfies client's needs as well as those of BSI.
- Provide on-going post sales support services.
- Provide sales activity reports and deliver as required.
- Support BSI marketing activities by attendance at designated trade shows, conferences, etc.
- Meet or exceed periodic sales targets.
Skills:
- Ability to analyze, assimilate and interpret client requirements as they relate to biometrics.
- Ability to develop realistic short and longer-term sales plans.
- Ability to multi-task with multiple prospects and time frames.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Effective negotiation skills.
- Computer literate (MS Office Suite).
Candidate must have Bachelors degree with minimum 3-5 years technical sales experience. US Citizenship is required and applicants must be eligible for Secret clearance or higher.
